"Can I receive both a phone call and a text as part of a urgent/emergency notification?"
For the Emergency Notification feature in Alma it is one or the other. However, no matter which you choose, you will also receive an email at the first email address set in your profile. This means that you will get notified in two different ways. Either:
- phone call and an email, or
- text and an email.
If you have not already set your preference, please follow this link for instructions and screenshots.
On the topic of notifications, for non-emergency messages from Alma, email is the only option. There is no text option for messages from Alma that are not sent via the Emergency system.
